01 — Deposit

Arrhes: 20% to confirm your date

To secure your booking, a deposit of 20% of the total fare is required at the time of confirmation. This deposit constitutes arrhes under French law (Art. 1590 of the Civil Code). Strictly, that means it is forfeited if you cancel, and refunded double if I do. In practice I'm more flexible than the law requires: whenever you cancel, the graduated schedule in section 02 applies — and it works in your favour.

Payment is by card via a secure Stripe link sent by WhatsApp. The remaining balance is due on the day of the tour, in cash or by bank transfer — whichever you prefer.

02 — Cancellation

Cancellation by the client

Life happens. Rather than apply the strict arrhes rule, I use the graduated schedule below — more generous to you, and based on how much notice you give before the scheduled departure.

Cancellations must be sent by WhatsApp message to +33 6 25 56 87 07. The timestamp of your message is the reference. Whatever happens, the deposit is the most you can lose — I won't chase you for the balance.

03 — Force Majeure

Cruise ships, bad weather & things beyond your control

Cruise passengers face circumstances no cancellation policy should penalise. The following events are treated as force majeure — full refund of the deposit, no questions asked:

A brief message from you (or your cruise line's confirmation) is sufficient. I will refund the deposit within 48 hours of notification.

04 — Payment

How it works

Prices are in euros and include all fuel, tolls, and parking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Gratuity is never expected, always appreciated.

05 — Legal Notice

Right of withdrawal

In accordance with French consumer law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date (Art. L221-28 12° of the Code de la consommation). By paying the deposit, you acknowledge and accept these booking conditions.

Your data. The personal details you share (name, contact, and the card data processed by Stripe) are used solely to manage your booking. They are never sold or shared with third parties beyond what's needed to deliver the service. Full details in my privacy policy.
